"The Elements Treehouse"

Treehouse hotels have been a trend in recent years, as people seek to get away from the rush of their busy lives and retreat into nature. With Lewin’s flair for elemental materials and finishes, this custom design/build was a perfect fit.

Shou Sugi Ban, which we hand-produced, is featured throughout on the bathroom walls, the divider, even the exterior siding.  Features like reclaimed antique doors and windows from The Refindery on McCallie, hand-finished rough sawn local walnut flooring with an all natural hemp oil finish sourced from Green’s Design and Supply, and site-gathered natural pickets on the deck make this home feel as if the trees were always meant to have it there.

High-end features including a direct valve control shower with body sprays and rain head, custom natural stone tile and a real terracotta sink bring a sense of luxury and ease to this woodland hideaway. The sleeping loft features beautiful yellow pine floors hand-finished and accentuated by the custom designed overhead skylights.  The interior walls are custom-milled painted shiplap and the beams which support the sleeping loft are locally sourced yellow pine.

Treehouse is owned by Treetop Hideaways in Flintstone. You can stay there, sleeping in the trees, relaxing by the firepit, and sipping coffee on the porch. And we hope that when you do, you have the best vacation or weekend away imaginable!
